POWER SUPPLY:

The power supply consists of this supplies one for cathode ray tube and other for solenoid . All necessary control for intensity Focusing X & Y shift and X & y Deflection voltage is provided on rear panel. A variable fine control of voltage for solenoid is also given on the same panel, meter for solenoid current and voltage provided.

INT(INTENSITY)

This control is for adjusting the brightness of spot of C.R.T.

FOCUS:-

It is to focus the finest shape

X CONTROL :- It is to shift the pattern bodily in vertical direction.

X DEFY SWITCH : This switches the voltage in horizontal or vertical direction . At position X, the deflection is in horizontal and at Y in vertical and at OFF position, The spot is in the center.

EIGHT PIN SOCKET :- The multi wire lead fitted plug is meant to put in the socket provided in instrument. It is to plug C.R.T in power supply precaution should be taken to insert it properly The lock of base should plugged carefully.C.R.T:- This is 3" screen cathode ray tube. All its connections are brought on octal plug is directly insert able in socket placed in panel of power supply

TERMINAL SOLENOID : These are to connect the power to solenoid in instrument. Which is variable from 5 to 55 in Eleven steps by band switch marked

COARSE FINE:- This control meant for giving fine variation with respect to COARSE of current to solenoid . The current variation is indicated on meter 0-1.5 A.

DEF. V. TERMINAL : - These are meant for measuring deflection voltage.

SWITCH REV. :- This switch is to reverse polarity of solenoid , at position REV., the polarity of solenoid is reverse.

SOLENOID:- This coil is wound by wire no. 22 turns 2600 on a plastic round farmer. The Connections are brought on two terminals. These terminals are connected by wire to power supply terminals marked solenoid.
