To determine the value of mechanical equivalent of heat by using Calender& Barne's content low calorimeter

SPECIFICATION

• Glass Tube It has horizontal corning glass tube open at both ends inside of which a  heating element coil about 40 cm long made of Nichrome wire , is fitted operatable 24V DC. 
• Polished wooden base Glass tube is encased in a wooden box with   a lined  felt& provided with a hinged cover openable
• Rubber / Silicon tube Glass tube is connected with transparent tube with both sides with two terminals  and two brass enclosed cups through which water flows coming from constant level tank.
• Brass cups right side of the cup is having one input for cold water and output to glass tube and one upper side provision for cork with hole for thermometer.
• LEFT Brass Cup the water so heated by element goes into second cup with two holes for cork for thermometer and one nozzle for inlet of hot water and one nozzle for outlet  of water.
• Terminals are brought at each end of the tube for the electrical supply. 
• constant level tank (100 x 75 mm dia) fitted  with clamp on a tripod stand for maintaining water level. It is having three  pipes at lower side:- one for input of tap water, one for Input to calendar and barn app and one for output of extra water.
• NOTE: water must flow slowly to let the input water get heated.
