USAGE

Nodal Slide Assembly Setup is useful for accurate measurement of focal length of convex lens and for combination of convex lenses. It consists of incandescent light source, cross slit, movable circular mirror and nodal slide assembly.

Scope of Learning

• Determination of the focal length of the converging lens
• Determination of the focal length of the combination of convergent lenses

• CONSISTS

Mirror                     Plain, inclinable with 3” steel  stand

Nodal Upright     consists combination of single & double lens holders on a mount rotating along the vertical axis, adjustable in height & can either be                                     moved together by rack & pinion or relative to each other by sliding. These motions can be read by individual pointers on a mm scale.

Optical Slit             cross slit, one surface white & the other clack, with 3” steel stem. Lamp house en electric bulb 60 W 220V AC is encased in a metal case                                     with cord & shoe.
