USAGE
Nodal Slide Assembly Setup is useful for accurate measurement of focal length of convex lens and for combination of convex lenses. It consists of incandescent light source, cross slit, movable circular mirror and nodal slide assembly.
Scope of Learning

CONSISTS
Mirror Plain, inclinable with 3” steel stand
Nodal Upright consists combination of single & double lens holders on a mount rotating along the vertical axis, adjustable in height & can either be moved together by rack & pinion or relative to each other by sliding. These motions can be read by individual pointers on a mm scale.
Optical Slit cross slit, one surface white & the other clack, with 3” steel stem.
Lamp house en electric bulb 60 W 220V AC is encased in a metal case with cord & shoe.
Optical Bench
RODS: It consists of two metallic rods (one rod is engraved in mms) overall length 170 cms X 18 mm thick , Scale length 150 cms.
FEET supported by heavy cast iron feet of 8 inch x 6 inch
RIDERS provided with 4 metal riders -2 of these provided with fine cross motion & 2 w/o motion. All the 4 sliders are fitted with hollow pillars .one screw with 4 inch x 14 mm metal painted strip for tightening rider is provide on each rider. All the riders are half shapered
LENS HOLDER: U shape Die cast Iron Lens Holder provided with a groove for holding lens, with upper part movable - 2 nos.
OPTICAL PINS: M.S. chromed 12 mm half shapered Needles - 2 nos
